Feed Inventory
Keeping a feed inventory on a farm is a critical management strategy because feed costs often represent 40% to 70% of total annual production expenses, making it one of the largest variables affecting profitability.
Feed Inventory
Create New Inventory by clicking on the green tab to the top left of your screen

Enter the Name

Feedstuff/Silo selector

Capacity
Select Save All
Tip: The Inventory can set to Wet Weight or Dry Matter under
Farm Settings>>Units of Measurement
Inventory/Stocktake
Here you can keep track of your feed by entering the

Feed Remaining
-
Feed Rate
- PIO then calculates the days remain of feed on hand

Stock Overview and Balance Timeline
There are three lines highlighted

The Green shows the current stock
-
The Blue line shows, on the current feed rate, where it's projected to run out.

The Yellow line shows the planned projection

As the feed stock decreases, you get a bit more of a colour representing
Yellow indicates less than 40% feed left
This changes to Red as you get down to near 0%

When using the Advanced Grazing and Nutrition Options from your Feed Supply, it will automatically update your availability
