Grazing Multiple Paddocks in One Feed Slot
You might graze two, or more, paddocks at the same time when both paddocks are being made available to the herd during the same feed period, rather than the herd grazing one paddock and then moving to the next.
For example, this could be useful when:
- Two smaller paddocks are opened to the herd together to provide the required grazing area.
- The herd has access to adjoining paddocks during the same grazing.
- You want the Grazing Planner to show both paddocks as part of the same feed allocation, rather than as separate grazing events.
To create the grazing using multiple paddocks
- Open the grazing panel
- Select the herd you are creating the grazing for
- Select your Feed slot
- Select your first paddock(s).
Tip: To select multiple paddocks at once, hold down the Shift key while selecting each paddock you want to graze. - The selected paddocks may initially be placed into separate feed slots.
- To combine them into the same feed slot, left-click and hold the paddock card you want to move.
- Drag and drop the paddock card into the feed slot containing the other paddock. The paddocks will now be grouped together in the same feed slot.
- Once you are happy with your grazing plan, select Save All to save your changes.
