Updating Herd numbers
Herd numbers are used to calculate information within Pasture.io. Keeping these up to date ensures accurate results. Herd numbers change throughout the seasons. Simply adjust your stock up or down to keep everything accurate.
From the Home Screen select:

View All

Click on the Adjust tab for the relevant herd

When selected, a pop-up window will appear allowing you to enter the new details.

Date and Time of the Movement
Enter the Date by choosing from the calendar

The Time can be changed by clicking on the clock icon at the bottom of the calendar pop-up and scrolling through the time

Original Size - reflects the current stock number

New Size – enter the new increased or decreased size of the herd

Amount – PIO calculates the difference between the herd sizes

Movement – Use this drop-down to use the relative option
- Save Herd Inventory - Save your changes
Movement can be increased or decreased
If the herd size has decreased there are four options

Other – this is for when you move your stock off farm to an area not listed on your Pasture.io farm map or home kill
Sales – for when you have sold stock

Deaths – when stock have died

Movement out- when you move stock out to a different herd you have listed in Pasture.io
When Movement Out is selected you will see the other herds listed. Select the herd which has increased

This will automatically update the new numbers in the herd which has increased
If the herd size has Increased there are four options

Other – this is for when you move your stock onto farm from an area not listed on your Pasture.io farm map

Purchased – for have stock you have bought

Natural Increase - births

Movement In - when you move stock in from a different herd you have listed in Pasture.io
When Movement In is selected you will see the other herds listed. Select the herd which has decreased
This will automatically update the new numbers in the herd which has decreased
Note: Changes won’t affect existing grazings. Only new grazings will use the updated herd numbers.
