How to Create a Grazing

Go to the Grazings tab on the left-hand side – this will open up the available grazing slots
Click on the desired feed slot and a New Grazing window will open up
(Here you can Edit which Herd you are viewing or Adjust the numbers of the Herd if needed)
PIO will come up with a suggested figure for KgDM/animal/day. You can either select Accept or enter your own figure
Once accepted, you can see the Target v Demand
Select 1 day from the drop down box
You can let PIO select paddock for you over a selected of days and clicking on Generate
or you can select your own paddock from the. map, list or feed wedge
Select Save Plan

Selecting More than one Paddock over Multiple Days

Follow the prompts 1-5 above
Select the amount of days from the drop down box
You can let PIO select paddock for you over a selected of days and clicking on Generate
or you can select your own paddock from the. map, list or feed wedge
The paddocks are brought over into the grazing order.

If you want a different grazing order, you can drag and drop them around according to your requirements

*If you wish to graze the same paddock over multiple days, click on the + icon on the paddock card. This will give extra cards to use for the paddock and the ability to split graze.
The progamme shows the total days of feed available according to the kgDM entered in the Pasture Demand Indicator
Edit the pasture demand indicator to the desired days are met. The indicator will then calculate the average pasture demand
The paddocks will be allocated in order according to your selection. These paddock cards can be moved around or duplicated for split grazing purposes - please see How to Create a Details Grazing
