Springtime Health Check
As your herds come back in to the rotation, there are a few key steps to bring everything back into line quickly, especially if your herds have been grazing off farm.
1. Long Rotation Model
If your paddocks have not been grazed for a long time, the cover will continue to grow and high covers can be seen.
To bring this back into line, switch OFF the long rotation model so that satellites are always considered.
Keep the model switched to OFF until a full rotation has been completed
2. Check your Monthly Targets
Clear the monthly targets line out.
Enter your pre grazings and post grazings targets making sure they are reflecting the current conditions
Enter your growth rate - this will calculate your Rotation length according to your targets
Save All
3. Start Grazings again
Keep your grazings up to date
The Goal - one full round of grazings
Once completed, switch your Long Rotation model back ON so that grazings and growth can work together to maintain your feed wedge confidently
